Building Collectors on the Web

Its amazing what you can find on the web. Recently, I searched around and found some things of interest to souvenir building collectors. The author of Bowling Trophy writes and photographs various thrift store and garages sale finds and a wide range of collections including some souvenir buildings. They also have fun taking pictures during their travels and thrifty hunts. A collector named “Jimmy” shows off his buildings online. Graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister talks about his Empire State building collection on the web site Notes on Design. He displays the miniature collection in a window overlooking the real deal. The Harvey Museum, whose curator is former SBCS President Harvey S., displays a collection of over 200 iconic miniature souvenir buildings and monuments from around the world.
