Lot of 54 Banthrico Banks

Wow, did you happen to see this auction on eBay recently? Don’t you wish this was a collection of all banthrico buildings rather than cars? The 54 car coin bank souvenirs were in mint condition and came from the original owner who kept the original boxes and keys. This group was offered at a buy-it -now price of $2,400.00, but ended unsold. A few years ago, I was at an out-of-the-way flea market and saw a small table full of Banthrico car banks. They too were all cars. I daydreamed for a moment that they were all buildings, none of which I already owned and they were priced at $10 each. Sigh. If only it were true. I see Banthrico cars far too often and Banthrico buildings far too infrequently these days. Do you have a story to share about finding a great building in an out-of-the-way place?
