Other than just looking great together, souvenir buildings can have addition uses such holders of 
jewelry. Figural jewelry boxes have been around for a long time. Most collectors have the antique metal U.S. Capital and Lincoln memorial boxes made by Jennings Brothers (marked JB on the bottom). Recently, I also saw a small vintage metal jewelry casket in the shape of the United States Capitol building measures just over 2 inches tall. Standing proudly atop a Germany Souvenir Building Jewelry Casket Box is the Braunschweig Lion.It measures approximately 4"L x 2.5"W x 4.75"H. The German-maed lead casting has a fabric-lined i
nterior and dates from the1920's. A metal souvenir building replica box of the Scherpenheuvel Basilek in Belgium is antique. "Scherpenheuvel Basiliek" and "Basilique De Montaigu" are written on the base of the replica. It measures 3" x 5" x 6" tall. One sold recently on eBay for $25. A great looking souvenir building of the Tower of London stands 2 3/4 inches tall and measures 3 5/8 inches wide. The roof is hinged allowing it to be used as a jewellery casket with a red felt lining inside to protect the jewelry. One of these sold for the equivilant of $96 from the UK. A copper-colored Hotel de Ville (or Town Hall) in Brussels, Belgium has part of its roof hinged for gem storage.

There are also Pill boxes...But they are much smaller.
Many moons ago I found the JB Capital Jewelery Box marked K & O instead of JB. I traded it to M & D for the Ace collection within a month of finding it.
