Building Bottle Openers

As we enter the season for backyard BBQ's and picnics in the park, its time to open a cold cola or bottled beer and enjoy the fresh air. Building collectors can open that sudsy brew with a building-shaped opener. The Shanghai World Financial Center building has often been
compared to a bottle opener. Now, someone has produced a miniature of it which actually opens a bottle. Brad sent me some photos of this Shanghai World Financial Center souvenir bottle opener. I searched around online, but could not find a store which sells this bottle opener - if anyone finds a link, please send it to me. Other figural bottle openers include the Empire State Building. This intake brass replica measures 4 inches long by 1.25 inches wide. Around the side are the words, "Empire State Building New York City." These would make great architectural gifts. Just for Openers is a club for people who collect bottle openers, can openers and corkscrews. Update: Scott D. sent me additional photos of figural openers in the shape of Manneken Pis statue, The Sidney Harbor Bridge, Sidney Opera House, the Will Rogers Shrine, Blackpool Tower and an Empire State Building combination bottle opener and corkscrew.
