Convention organizers
Carolyn and Tom have a full weekend planned for those attending the Souvenir Building Collector Society’s annual gathering. This year, from June 21 – 23, the
host hotel will be the historic Foshay Tower in Minneapolis. Friday afternoon
will kick things off with a guided walking tour of US and Wells Fargo Banks,
Downtown architecture and then the Guthrie Theater. In the evening, collectors will
view Tom M.’s souvenir building collection at his home outside the city. Saturday morning will be the popular sale and
swap meet of miniature buildings and then on to an architecture tour aboard a trolley to see the State Capitol, St Paul Cathedral, J.J. Hill, Historic Summit Avenue,
Weisman and Walker Art Museums. The evening will find attendees at the dinner,
live auction and miniature building raffle. Finally, on Sunday Carolyn will invite everyone to see
her collection in St. Paul.
